Local artist Ross von Rosenburg has been participating in the alley’s house art auction for the past three years.
Ross has a one of a kind style that he will showcase at the show.
“My piece will a continued evolution of my style that I’ve been exploring and developing for some time now, kind of a pop surrealism centered around a figure,” Ross said.
Ross’ vision for this year’s piece captures many of the feelings and experiences that young mothers go through.
“My piece will be an expression of the conflicts of stress and real world worries of single young motherhood juxtaposed with the excitement of new life and growth,” he said.
Ross believes that the alley’s house art auction is unique because it focuses on the artist and the art, as well as the mission of alley’s house.
“Having done many charity shows, this is one that never fails to make me feel like I am really an important part of the whole event and not just a person that drops off a painting,” Ross said.
Ross loves the opportunity to share his work with others. He is intrigued by the new location and suspects that it will be even better than in previous years.
“I get excited every time I get to share my work with people and see their reactions,” Ross said. “As for this year, it will be interesting to see the event in a new venue than in previous years. A new space and a new vibe.”
Ross encourages everyone to attend Incrementum III to support alley’s house and the local art community.
“I would encourage them to attend to support alley’s house, to support local arts, and to support creativity, without which, the world would be a much more boring place,” Ross said.
