Mom's Nite Out Dallas

(DALLAS, MAY 11, 2009) – The first annual Mom’s Nite Out Dallas gathered 146 local moms at Studio Movie Grill, Addison for a night of movies, margaritas and Motherhood, raising more than $5,000 in food and clothing donations for Alley’s House, a local non-profit.

The premiere event was presented by North Texas Kids and MomsOutLoud.com to give moms a much-needed break, just in time for Mother’s Day. This event gained immediate attention, selling out in the first 36 hours.

“We will definitely host this event again next year and may consider doing a quarterly Mom's Nite Out event on a smaller scale,” Minette Riordan, publisher of North Texas Kids, said. “It was so exciting to see all of these happy moms enjoying themselves, relaxing and visiting with each other."
Special guest speaker Lee Woodruff, NY Times Best-Selling Author and Good Morning America contributor, shared her stories and laughter with moms in attendance. A private book signing of her newest book, Perfectly Imperfect, personalized the experience for event guests.
