If you are a Teen mom and want to participate:
  1. Call 214.824.8700 and tell us you're interested in the program. We will conduct a phone assessment and schedule you for the Introduction to alley’s house orientation.

  2. Attend Introduction to alley’s house.

  3. Be assigned to a case manager.

  4. Complete in-home assessment and case management plan

  5. Evaluate education, life skills, wellness, career preparation and financial readiness to formulate your 80/80 graduation plan.
    The alley’s house 80/80 graduation program provides 80 credits of learning that can be completed in 80 weeks!

The programs start with an “Introduction to alley’s house”: an introduction to alley’s house and evaluation for placement in the 80/80 program – then, ends with “My 5 Year Plan” and “ My Vision Board”: final projects to prepare for life after alley’s house. In between the introduction and final projects is a challenging curriculum with 77 units of study in 5 tracks.

The tracks include:

  • Education (32 units) – GED prep
  • Wellness (9 units)
  • Life Skills (19 units)
  • Career Prep (13 units)
  • Finances (4 units)

When a new Mom enters alley’s house, they are introduced to all services, provided an assessment and given credits for previous accomplishments. The credits are subtracted from 80 weeks to set their target graduation date.

Once in the program, Mom’s that test out of or earn 1 – 20 credits are considered Freshmen, 21 – 40 Sophomores, 51 – 60 Juniors – and, 61 – 80 Seniors.

The first course taken is AH101: Introduction to alley’s house – and, the last is AH401: My 5 Year Plan and Vision board.
