Erica struggles on a daily basis. She has been involved with alley's house since 2002. She has fallen and gotten back up again. She has numerous negative factors that she deals with on a daily basis. Yet, in spite of all the negatives around her, she gets up everyday, takes care of her children and dreams of a better life for herself and her children. She wants to make her children proud of her. She comes from a background of welfare and sees it all around her. But, she doesn't want to continue that trend. Through participation in alley's house programs, she has successfully completed her GED and is attending El Centro Community College. She's studying to be an RN. |
